Sinkhole opens up on Rama IV Road

A large sinkhole opened up on Rama IV Road near the Lumpini MRT station in Bangkok last night March 18.

Traffic police officer Sarayuth Junnawat said that the cause of the five-meter wide and one-meter deep hole was not known yet, but urged commuters to avoid Rama IV Road near the Thai-Belgium Bridge, according to The Bangkok Post.

According to a tweet by Neaw_NBC, the sinkhole had been filled in as of 6:50am this morning and traffic had returned to standard Monday morning awfulness.
