Silom road between Sala Daeng and Narathiwat intersection is home to Bangkok’s most expensive land, with prices to averaging THB850,000 per square wah (4sqm).
Prices in Silom rose 43 percent from 2008 to 2011.
The second most expensive area is around Rajprasong intersection where prices average THB800,000 per square wah, up from THB430,000 in 2008, The Nation reported.
These figures come from research by Thailand’s Treasury Department, which also found that overall land prices in Bangkok rose 17.13 percent from 2008-2011 and 21.34 percent in all of Thailand.
The cheapest area in Bangok is located in seaside Bang Khun Thian, a district on the western side of the Chao Phraya River that abuts the Gulf of Thailand. At only THB500 per square wah, it is roughly .05 percent as much as Silom! Time to invest?
