SHOCK: Sukhumvit gay spa supplied prostitutes

Police raided “Hero” gay spa on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok Tuesday March 21 and arrested the owner and manager for allegedly operating the spa as a brothel. Shock of all shocks!

Police said yesterday that they sent three undercover agents to the phony “spa” in Wattana District and had one man arrange for a THB600 one-hour massage while the other two waited in the lounge. When the massage-receiving undercover agent went into the back room, the masseur allegedly propositioned him to have sex for THB1,000. As soon as the fee was agreed upon, the agent signaled to his team to start arresting people immediately. As far as we can tell, he did not received any massage or sex.

Spa owner Dechmaitree Pornsuksirikul, 51, and manager Jaturong Palakawongse na Ayudhya, 34, were arrested, according to the Bangkok Post. Police also confiscated a cache of condoms.

Dechmaitree told police that he opened the spa a decade ago but that it had turned into a gay brothel because his staff didn’t earn enough. He added that he told his staff not to have sex with their clients (but they would not listen), and said that he believed Thai society should accept prostitution as a legitimate business.

Police found about 30 masseurs and many clients in Hero. They were drug tested and one tested positive.
