We are now two days into the “Seven Dangerous Days” of the New Year holidays in Thailand and so far 71 people have been killed and 826 injured in road accidents.
Yesterday alone, 38 people were killed and 504 injured in 495 accidents.
The road safety management committee announced the figures today, according to the Nation.
Drunk driving remains the biggest cause of accidents and was involved in roughly a third of all recorded crashes.
