The Red Shirt United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) will rally tomorrow April 11 at Democracy Monument in Bangkok to commemorate the April 10, 2010 clash between protestors and government forces that left many dead and wounded.
UDD chairwoman Tida Tavornseth announced that Red Shirts will also hold a rally on May 19 to commemorate the crackdown on Red Shirt protests in Rajaprasong on the same day in 2010, The Bangkok Post reported. That rally will run for 12 hours, from 1pm to 1am, Tida said.
The rally tomorrow at Democracy Monument will run from 9am to noon, according to travel blogger Richard Barrow, so it may be good to avoid the area if you’re driving.
