The Criminal Court at Ratchada today sentenced a 19-year-old man to life in prison after he was convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl, though this sentence was later reduced to 25 years.
Nopparat Ruengyat, together with two friends who are still on the loose, admitted to raping the girl at a rented room on Soi Lat Phrao 80 in the Wang Thonglang district on Aug. 11, 2012.
The Court, however, reduced Nopparat’s jail time to 25 years after finding his confession useful to the investigation as a whole, Dailynew reported.
