This morning, metropolitan police announced the arrest of a 21-year-old man who snatched the purse of a Burmese counselor’s wife and ran away.
Sammana Udom committed the crime on Jan. 20. He made away with him THB40,000 and USD500 in cash, an iPhone and other belongings.
Police charged him at the station on Charoen Krung Road, where they discovered that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, stemming from a similar wrongdoing that occurred on Dec. 25.
According to Post Today, Sammana confessed that he had conducted over 10 purse snatchings, mostly aimed at foreigners who he thought were likely to have a lot of money.
