The Nation is reporting that as of this Tuesday morning, four groups of protestors have surrounded Government House in Bangkok.
Most of the protestors are rural doctors, who have gathered in the capital to voice their opposition to proposed changes to the Public Health Ministry’s payment plan and to call for the ouster of the Public Health Minister.
Also protesting are members of the Government Pension Fund, who are calling for changes in the way the government calculates pensions. The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority’s labor union has joined in on the fun as well, calling on the government to fulfill its promise to purchase 3,183 new NGV buses.
The protests have resulted in road closures in and around Government House.
