Pheu Thai MP Karun Hosakul was allegedly assaulted last week after driving his jet ski too fast through flooded Don Mueang and causing a local resident’s boat to capsize.
The Bangkok Post reported that 22-year-old Thitaphan Boonyai administered a beating to Karun that resulted in him needing five stitches for a cut in his mouth. Thitapan became “displeased” after Karun rode by on a jet ski at high speed, making big waves which knocked over the boat carrying him and three friends.
The suspect was called in for questioning yesterday Nov. 13 and was released after being charged with assault. No bail was needed because of the minor nature of the case, Don Mueang Police Chief Col Rangsan Praditphon said.
