Following a two-month test period in which police set up speed-monitoring cameras on several expressways coming into and out of Bangkok, the Traffic Division has announced that it will begin citing motorists, using the cameras as evidence.
Spokesmen from the Metropolitan Police Bureau said that the cameras will photograph speeders, allowing police to then mail traffic tickets to the offenders’ homes.
According to the Bangkok Post, cameras have been posted along the Burapha Withi and Bang Phli-Suksawat expressways.
