Bangkok police have arrested 25-year-old man Suriyan Phuenram, suspected of stealing motorbikes from people who left their cars at Ratchabura police station to avoid flooding. Police confiscated a red Honda wave bike that he allegedly stole which was parked on Soi Puttabucha 38, TANN reported.
In more police news, Major Police General Amnuay Nimmano said that officers are investigating reports of price gouging on boat services for flood victims. Ferry services that don’t list their prices will be fined up to THB10,000 and subject to further investigation he said.
The police put out an announcement that all cars parked on Don Mueang Tollway must be moved by November 16th and ordered that motorcycle taxis refrain from using the highway. The need to pick up a car parked on the Don Mueang Tollway is not a valid excuse to use a motorcycle taxi, police officials said. The only valid way to get to one’s car on the tollway is through a local car taxi or family members.
