Police in Nakhon Pathom arrested 36 teenagers over the weekend for staging a series of massive motorcycle races.
According to Pol Lt Col Thongchai Natesakhawat, the arrests came as the result of a sting operation that involved some 60 police officers and volunteers. Even with that small army of cops at the scene, the teenagers still outnumbered the lawmen by a wide margin.
According to the Bangkok Post, the operation discovered more than 100 street racers along Aksa Road with 80 motorcycles in their possession.
Though the teenagers (in typically teenaged fashion) scattered when they saw the cops, 36 were waylaid and arrested, included two youths who tried to ram police officers with their motorbikes.
