Police arrested a “serial” panty thief in Bangkok today whose panty-thieving crime spree stretched from the capital all the way back to Phetchaburi and Chon Buri.
Twenty-seven-year-old Jirayuth Yampramote admitted to having pilfered women’s underwear from a female dormitory in Phetchaburi, as well as from various women’s apartments within Bangkok.
Jirayuth said that he liked to wear women’s underwear because of the way it made him feel, but had never harbored intentions to hurt anyone. He also remarked that his wife was unaware of his panty-pilfering proclivities.
The Bangkok Post reports that several of Jirayuth’s victims, who came into the police station to identify him, were willing to forgive him and urged that he seek professional help.
With his arrest, Jirayuth join the exclusive club of Thailand’s convicted panty thieves – a breed both more plentiful and more bizarre than you might expect.
