Office squabbles suspected as cause of rock attack on TMB Bank

Bang Sue police are on the hunt for a suspect who last night attacked TMB Bank Sanam Pao Branch on inbound Phaholyothin Road with a large rock.

Police said that the suspect struck the bank’s eight-millimeter-thick glass entrance doors with a fist-sized, one-kilogram rock and completely destroyed them. Police have not acquired information on the suspect’s appearance or the reasons behind his actions since there were no security guards on duty at the time of the attack and CCTV cameras could not capture the suspect’s image.

An initial police investigation revealed that conflict between employees within the bank’s office might have precipitated the attack. According to Dailynews, the doors’ keyholes were reportedly clogged with super glue three to four months ago. On top of that, a few days before the incident, there was a dispute between the branch’s manager and a female officer’s boyfriend.
