Chachoengsao province MP Boonlert Pailin, who is known for his active practice of astrology, has revealed his picks for the result of the March 3 gubernatorial election.
Posting on Facebook, Boonlert claimed that his numerology-and-astrology-based prediction had proved correct in past several national elections. The former prime ministers, who he insisted to have provided correct prediction for, are Chuan Leekpai, Banharn Silpa-archa, Chavalit Yongchaiyudh and Thaksin Shinawatra.
For the Bangkok’s governor election, Boonlert said that he employed only numerology to predict the result, as he did not have the time of birth for all candidates. His approach involved plumbing each candidate’s birthdate to discover the “energy” that that candidate was likely to have on Election Day.
Boonlert’s calculation begins by separating all the candidates’ birthdays into one-digit numbers. He then adds these up and repeats that process until there is only a single number remaining.
Below are Boonlert’s calculations comparing the birthdays of Pheu Thai candidate Pongsapat Pongcharoen and Democrat candidate Sukhumbhand Paribatra.
Election Day on Mar. 3, 2013: 3+3+2+0+1+3 = 12, then 1+2 = 3.
Pongsapat, born on Dec. 9, 1955: 9+1+2+1+9+5+5 = 32, then 3+2 = 5.
Sukhumbhand, born on Sep 22, 1952: 2+2+9+1+9+5+2 = 30, then 3+0 = 3.
According to Boonlert’s math, it looks like Sukhumbhand will be the winner.
