Chuwit Kamolvisit’s one man crusade against all vice in Bangkok suffered a setback when police searched a location that he said contained an illegal gambling den and found nothing of the sort.
Rak Prathet Thai MP Chuwit showed a video clip during a parliamentary session of a white room he claimed was an illegal gambling den close to Makkasan Railway station.
Railway police located the white room after a thorough search of the area but were unable to find any evidence of gambling.
Commander of the Railway Police Division, Police Colonel Dumrongsak Kaewsomnuk told TANN that regular checks of the area have been ongoing since February but the police have yet to uncover any gambling dens.
Destroying any element of surprise, Dumrongsak said another inspection will be carried out today.
