NGO warns of unsafe mercury level in Prachin Buri

Ecological Alert and Recovery Thailand (EARTH), an NGO with one of the world’s most intimidating mandates, is reporting that villagers in Prachin Buri have been consuming unsafe levels of mercury, thanks to pollution from factories nearby.

The Nation is reporting that Penchom Sae-Tang, director of EARTH, will summarize his findings in a report to the United Nations.

EARTH based its results on samples taken from fish in a Prachin Buri river and from hair samples taken from local villagers.
