At 10am today, Narcotics Suppression police announced the arrest of two women who had been caught while in possession of 294,000 methamphetamine pills and 10 kilograms of crystal meth.
Thirty-year-old Juthamas Kerdsung and 24-year-old Piyapha Nilkuha were travelling in a blue Ford sedan this Tuesday when they were stopped at a police checkpoint on the inbound Don Mueang Tollway at 10:30pm. Police discovered the drugs inside the trunk of their vehicle.
The arrest followed a tip-off that dealers in the Phitsanulok Central Prison drug ring were moving the illegal substances from the North to the South of Thailand. Police set up over 20 checkpoints along the Tollway and eventually busted the duo.
