Narcotics agency believes there are 461 retail drug dealers in Bangkok

The Office for Narcotics Control Board believes that there are a total of 461 “retail” drug dealers in 179 communities in 48 Bangkok districts, it announced yesterday.

The findings were read aloud at a press conference by secretary-general Pol General Adul Saengsingkaew, the Nation reported.

Interestingly, the only districts that didn’t contain drug dealers according to the ONCB’s findings were Bang Rak and Sathorn. The Nation postulated that this might be because the areas contain many prime properties with wealthy people. Taking a look at other districts, the ONCB found that there were exactly 26 drug dealers in the Phra Khanong police jurisdiction, 23 in Pracha Chuen jurisdiction, and 21 in Bang Khen.
