Police arrested six suspects in the murder of 16-year old Chamni Technology School student Rapeepat Sudsamai.
Rapeepat was killed in a riot involving a rival group from Bangkok College of Technology (BCT) in Samut Prakan’s Muang district Friday night,
Thanakrit Khaosuwan and Nanthapop Houdcharoen, both 19, join two other boys aged 15-17, and two others 16-20, all students of BCT, as police hold them in custody for the alleged shooting.
The six students were arrested along with four guns and three pen guns; and one pick-up truck and two motorcycles, which were reportedly used in the attack.
Thanakrit reportedly was driving the pick-up carrying the other students when they ran into the rival group vandalizing the BCT college symbol. The brawl on Sukhumvit Road in Tambon Tai Ban involved around some 30 BCT students.
Among the casualties were Rapeepat, and Jakkapan Thienthong, 16, who was seriously injured.
The police charged the suspects with murder, attempted murder, possessing arms and ammunition without a permit, carrying guns in public, and destroying property, the Nation reported.
