A mor lam country music singer recently killed her husband by stabbing him in the groin during a dispute in their apartment in Bangkok’s Bang Khun Tian district on Oct. 16.
The singer, commonly known as Supranee Srilawal, told police that her new husband was very jealous and that he always waited to take her home when she would sing at the Roe Et Music restaurant. He would then go drink and return later to their apartment.
On the evening of the murder, Supranee was talking with a security guard who often took care of her biological son while she was working when her new husband caught them talking and began an argument.
The dispute continued into the couple’s room at JC Mansion, when Supranee said her husband began to act aggressively and threaten her.
Supranee stabbed him once with a six-inch knife in his groin area to stop him from hurting her, she said.
She quickly took off his pants to try to stop the bleeding and told her son to call an ambulance, but her husband died in the apartment from blood loss.
The police found the apartment covered in blood and apprehended Supranee, Manager reported.
