Missing Brit turns up in Thailand

The family of missing Brit Tom Armstrong has announced today, via the BBC, that their son is alive and well. Beyond that, however, details remain scarce.

Armstrong had originally come to Thailand in order to undertake diving instruction, which he did at Koh Tao before later disappearing in the vicinity of Bangkok. His parents reported him missing after he failed to board a Jan. 6 flight back to the UK.

Tom Armstrong’s father later came to Thailand in order to search for him, in collaboration with Thai authorities. Those authorities announced this morning that the junior Armstrong was “safe and well,” but did not elaborate beyond that description.
