Meth Bustier: Women pinched for smuggling drugs in bras

Two women attempting to transport meth to Bangkok in their bras were arrested at a Chiang Rai bus station on July 2.

Police engaged in a drug trafficking investigation arrested the two middle-aged ladies with a total of 1kg of crystal meth. They were waiting to board a bus to Bangkok.

Pol. Lt. Col Tepsawad Supawan said that police at the station noticed that the women were behaving suspiciously so they searched them and found four rolls of meth stuffed in their bras.

They confessed and said that they had lost money gambling and had consequently taken a job from a lady named Lenwajay to smuggle the drugs to Bangkok for THB50,000 each, Daily News reported.

They were initially charged with drug smuggling and police are investigating further.
