Unhappy Don Mueang residents removed some of the big bag floodwall on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road yesterday Nov. 13. Roughly 200 residents met at the crest of the floodwall near Don Mueang Airport and moved some of the big bags, the Bangkok Post reported, despite Prime Minister Yingluck’s demand that the floodwall remain.
Protest chief Thinnakorn Janya said that they had created a 6-metre wide whole in the floodwall over the weekend to release water which has flooded more than 20 housing estates north of the barrier. Senior police from Don Mueang station witnessed the removal but did not stop it.
