Yesterday, a 48-year-old man made a public apology to a 27-year-old woman and her friend for hitting them during a roadside fight.
Kasian Kamolchaivanich, a law lecturer at various universities throughout Bangkok, has become a hot topic after a video clip surfaced a week ago in which he violently forces two women to back up their car. The four-minute-long clip, named, “He claimed he’s huge but hit women,” captures an altercation that resulted from a moment in which Kasian’s car and the women’s car reached an impasse in the middle of the narrow Soi Ratchada 6.
Kasian demanded that Anyarat Panwichaiwut move her minivan backward so that he could pass through the one-lane street first. Anyarat insisted that Kasian should drive to the right in order to pass quickly, instead of waiting for her to move her car backwards, which would take longer than the alternative she offered. Kasian refused to heed Anyarat’s advice and resorted to violence in order to achieve his end.
According to Dailynews, Kasian apologized to Anyarat at the Bukkalo police station and paid the THB1,000 fine for the assault charge. Anyarat said that she accepted his apology and forgave him.
