Knife-wielding thief robs four Thonburi convenience stores

Bangmod police are investigating a series of robberies that occurred at four convenience stores on the Thonburi side of Bangkok early this morning. No injuries were reported from the incidents.

Investigators said that the crime spree lasted from just before 3am to 3:15am. Things began at a Family Mart store on Rama II Road Soi 11 when a 170-centimeter-tall man, approximate age 25 to 30, robbed a clerk at knifepoint. Brandishing the six-inch-long weapon, he demanded money from the clerk before fleeing the store with THB600

Police subsequently received reports of robberies at three other convenience stores on Rama II Road Soi 30, Soi Sooksawat 36, and Soi Sooksawat 50, respectively. The incidents occurred at 3:05, 3:10 and 3:15AM. The suspect absconded with THB15,000 total.

Police believe that a lone robber was responsible for the entire crime spree. According to Dailynews, the suspect wore black clothes during robberies and rode a pink Yamaha Fino motorcycle without a license plate.
