Two teenagers believed to be members of an armed motorcycle robbery syndicate were arrested by police early Monday morning.
According to reports, the boys, aged 15 and 16, are suspected to be part of the group that robbed two women at gunpoint as they were walking near the Kaset-Navamin intersection in Bangkok before dawn Monday.
Lamit Thamsing, 34, and Phasuk Nuseng, 30, told the authorities that a group of 10 motorcycles followed them as they were walking. Shortly after, one of the riders brandished a gun and snatched one of their purses with TBH10,000 inside.
A few hours later, the two suspects were caught trying to steal a motorcycle.
Police said they are calling in other victims of the motorcycle robbery gang to identify their attackers, the Bangkok Post reported.
