Jeremy Renner’s reps deny he was injured in Phuket melee

Representatives for Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner have denied that he was involved and injured in the notorious Phuket bar brawl last week that left Sri Panwa resort owner Vorasit Issara in the hospital in serious condition.

“He was at the bar when the fight broke out and he exited,” one of Renner’s reps told E! News, saying that he was “not injured” and “not involved” in the attack.

An earlier report from the Phuket Gazette said that Renner suffered minor injuries in the fight. Six men are being charged with murder for the assault, which involved knives, pipes, and an axe made from a motorcycle brake rotor.

The actor was on holiday from the Philippines, where he is shooting the fourth installment of the Bourne film series.

Vorasit is the son of prominent Bangkok real estate magnate Songkran Issara, developer of Bangkok’s Charn Issara towers.
