Improvements underway at Victory Monument

Earlier this week, Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra headed to Victory Monument to inaugurate a widespread renovation plan aimed at increasing security at Bangkok’s central transit hub.

The project will include the installation of 28 security cameras, 33 vertical gardens, law-enforcement booths and a multi-purpose space. New bathrooms are on the docket as well, with 40 units set for construction following the demolition of the existing 30, the Nation reported.

Completion of the project is slated for February 14, which I’m hoping is the handiwork of a sentimental civil engineer.
