Hotheaded customer shoots air conditioner shop employee

A disgruntled Bangkok man reportedly shot a store employee yesterday because he was angry at how long it was taking to install his new air conditioner.

The suspect Anurak Rosdee, 31, allegedly shot the staff member in the stomach after going to the shop to complain. He was arrested with a .38 pistol and several rounds of ammunition.

Staff at PB Air Service shop in Bangkok’s Don Mueang district told police that Anurak began firing shots at the stop after learning that the installation of his air conditioner was delayed, the Bangkok Post reported. One employee was hit in the stomach and sent to the hospital.

Anurak’s story was a bit different. He said he went to the story to check on when the installation would be finished, but found no one there. While he was waiting, Anurak said he heard gunshot-like noises coming from the shop so he returned fire. He said that he later called the owner of the shop who told him that the noise had been someone kicking an iron wall.

Anurak was arrested for illegal possession and misuse of a firearm in public.

Police are investigating further.
