Complications from botched penis-enlargement injections have apparently become such an epidemic in Bangkok that Police General Hospital has set up a dedicated team to deal with the unfortunate ailment.
The hospital receives 30-40 men per month who suffer from “complications.”
Dr Jongjet Aojenpong, director of the hospital, said that the injections can “do great damage” and that the idea that men can better satisfy women with their newly enlarged members is a “misunderstanding.”
Men who do choose to get the injections should immediately consult with the hospital for treatment and monitoring of any abnormalities, he said.
Dr Surat Kittisupaporn, a urologist and surgeon, said that the injections only thicken the penis skin, creating a mirage-like illusion that the penis is larger but sometimes causing tumors.
One unlucky man had a tumor so large that he had to have his penis amputated, the Nation reported.
Moral of of the story: Don’t get penis-enlargement injections.
