US Secret Service agents canvasing the grounds of Government House in Bangkok ahead of President Barack Obama’s visit were shocked to see large monitor lizards wandering around the area.
The agents thought the lizards were komodo dragons, the meat-eating and massive lizards found in Indonesia.
Thai officials explained that the lizards are generally harmless and calmed the nerves of the agents, the Bangkok Post reported.
