At 8pm last night, police found the body of Paiboon Chongcharoenkarn, a 27-year-old stockbroker at Maybank Kim Eng Securities Plc, on the floor in front of Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Center at Central World on Rama 1 Road in the Pathumwan district.
Paiboon, who rented a suite on the 44th floor, reportedly walked down to the 26th floor and jumped to his death from the five-star hotel. Police said that prior to his suicide, Paiboon met with a model to discuss photography projects.
Dailynews reported that Paiboon had asked to have a serious relationship with the model but was refused, leading to his decision to end his own life.
