The Bangkok Post ran an interesting story yesterday about a Bangkok Bank employee at the Ratchada – Lad Phrao branch who allegedly pilfered assets, mainly gold jewelry, worth around THB22 million from the safety deposit boxes of two of his co-workers.
The man suspected of the crime drew the suspicions of the police from his ostentatious spending – he drove a THB4.3 million Mercedes, used an iPhone4, carried a THB50,000 Louis Vuitton wallet, and dressed generally expensively – despite earning a monthly salary of only THB15,000.
