Police have arrested a gang of teenagers accused of robbing more than 60 men over the past three months.
The gang robbed and stole motorcycles from multiple people, beginning last December. They targeted victims near Chulalongkorn University and in the Yannawa area. One student claimed to have been beaten by the gang at a bus stop near Chulalongkorn when he refused to relinquish his cell phone to the attackers.
The gang members were aged between 16 and 18. In a strangely chivalrous twist, they chose to rob only men because the wife of one of their members was pregnant.
The Nation reports that police have arrested seven members of the group, but suspect that there must be more members at large.
