Fugitive crooked cop surrenders to police in Lampang

The Bangkok traffic police officer who fled from his vehicle after breaking through a road block in Lampang Province has been arrested, the Crime Suppression Division said today.

Pol Sgt Manas Suapho of the Bangkok Metropolitan Traffic Police contacted a high-level operative from the CSD and offered to turn himself in today after three days on the run, the Bangkok Post reported.

On Sunday, the 42-year-old crooked cop fled into the forest of Lampang’s Ngao district, abandoning his car which contained 2.48 million ya ba pills and 5kg of ice.
