A former Jetstar Airlines flight attendant and his female accomplice have been arrested for selling methamphetamine at a gay spa called Eight and a Half Inch on Srinakarin Road in Bangkok.
Pol Gen Col Samroeng Songsiang said that police from his division raided the spa on Srinakarin Soi 45 and conducted urine drug tests on the masseurs there, according to a story in the Daily News. Two of them had purple urine and confessed that they had bought crystal meth (ice) from 21-year-old Miss Nam Klaysuda aka Miss Piyada. Police then set up an undercover sting to buy a gram of ice from Miss Piyada at the parking lot of a condo complex in Lat Phrao.
Miss Piyada was arrested when she came to do the drug deal and led police back to her condo where they found her boyfriend feverishly flushing ice down the toilet. The unidentified boyfriend escaped from the police by climbing out of the apartment window and lowering himself down to the ground with some sort of rope-like material. He is wanted by the police.
At the condo police found 23 grams of crystal methamphetamine, two amphetamine pills, and ten pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Later police set up another sting operation for Miss Piyada to buy some methamphetamine from Mr. Saranyu “Mac” Chaiyasitwatin, 31-years-old, who was also involved in the meth selling operation to the gay spa.
Mr. Saranyu confessed that he had been a flight attendant for Jetstar in Australia for five years but was fired two years ago for his crystal meth addiction. After that he became a dealer for a drug kingpin called “P’Chay” selling mainly to gay clients. Mr. Saranyu would buy the ice for THB2,500 per gram from P’Chay and then sell it to clients for THB3,000.
Both Mr. Saranyu and Miss Piyada are in jail and facing drug charges.
