The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is preparing for potential flooding in the eastern districts of Nongjok, Khlong Samwa, Min Buri, and Lad Krabang.
Rising tide, forecast heavy rain, and floodwaters traveling down the Chao Phraya River from the north could combine to create serious high water levels, TAN reported.
Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukumpan Boripat said that a total of about 450 square kilometres of the districts are low-lying and outside the barrage, and thus more susceptible to flooding.
