Drug dealer surrenders to police after facing ant, mosquito attack

Last night, metropolitan police arrested a Burmese national for dealing drugs in the Bang Khun Thian District.

At 9pm, police were called to Soi Sagae-ngam 15 after receiving a tip that Ae, a 43-year-old drug agent, would arrive at the scene to distribute the drugs. But when police presented themselves and attempted to charge him, Ae resisted by running into the street and climbing up a tree.

Authorities spent an hour convincing Ae to climb down. However, the actual reason the dizzy and exhausted Ae eventually surrendered to police was that he faced persistent mosquito and ant attacks while clinging to the tree.

Police told Dailynews that they discovered 6,000 methamphetamine pills in his possession. Ae admitted to possession of the drugs and added that he had intended to distribute them to migrant workers and students in the neighborhood.
