The Mansri temporary pet shelter will close at the end of November, so owners who have brought their pets there during flooding should pick them up immediately.
The shelter was set up at the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority’s Mansri Branch on Oct. 26 to deal with the huge number of pets affected by the flooding, TANN reported. Over 200 animals are currently being held there including dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters.
Veterinarian Thatwarin Kanchanachaya, the head of the shelter, said that now with flooding receding schools are starting again and volunteers are dwindling.
Owners should pick up their pets by tomorrow Nov. 30 or give consent for foster care or adoption.
Those interested in adopting pets can call 085-113-6886.
The MWA’s Mansri Branch is located at:
1203 Nakhon Chaisi Road, Phaya Thai District, Bangkok 10400
