Democrat MP hears murder charges

Democrat MP Khanchit Thapsuwan reported to Samut Sakhon Muang District Police this morning to face murder charges, as he is the prime suspect in the brutal daytime slaying of Samut Sakhon Provincial Administration Organization(OrBorJor) president Udon Kraiwatnussorn.

Khanchit arrived at the police station with his mother, Tassanee, and his lawyer, Parat Yawong, the Bangkok Post reported.

He has been charged with gunning down Mr. Udon on Christmas Day in a toilet at a Samut Sakhon petrol station. He allegedly shot the victim eight times in the head. Khanchit was summonsed last week to appear at the police station by June 27 to face the charges. He appeared a day early, as promised.

Khanchit has said he will seek bail after hearing the charges.
