At 8:15AM this morning, a newborn baby was found dead in a trash bin behind the Sala 150 Years Building at Wat Bowonniwet Vihara.
Officers at the Chanasongkram Police Station discovered the male baby, who was wrapped in a blue handkerchief and had his umbilical cord still attached. There were no injury marks on his body.
Witnesses told police that they had spotted a man in a red shirt, aged approximately 25 to 30, who had dumped the baby into the waste container.
Dailynews is reporting that police will review CCTV footage in order to identify the suspect.
