Earlier this week, cops broke up a drug deal going down between three Thai and two Malaysian men.
According to Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Kamronwit Thoopkrachang, the plan had been for the three Thai men to buy THB20 million worth of drugs from their Malaysian counterparts.
Not only does the alleged route of these drugs seem a bit odd, but the substances themselves have a stranger profile than your typical, truckload of ya ice. In the bust, cops seized three kilograms of ketamine (fyi: that is a LOT of ketamine) and 400 ecstasy pills.
The Bangkok Post reports that the bust itself went down at a hotel in the Din Daeng area of Ratchadapisek.
The Thais claimed that they had been ordered to pick up the drug shipment by a prison inmate, who would then direct them on the substances’ subsequent distribution.
