An online video clip of a police officer asking for “coffee money” from a motorist has provoked the ire of netizens against the Thai boys in brown.
The video, uploaded to Youtube by user “hatethaipolice” on Thursday, shows the motorist being stopped by an officer, who asks for THB300 to “buy a coffee” in lieu of a ticket.
A passenger tells the policeman to go ahead and issue the ticket, but the officer decides to let them go when he realizes he’s probably not going to get any money out of the deal.
