Bangkok’s unseasonably cool weather will stick around for another month, says Somchai Bai-muang, deputy director-general of Thailand’s Meteorological Department.
In an interview with the Nation, Somchai speculated that, with the exception of the far south, Thailand would continue to enjoy relatively cool temperatures throughout the end of Feb.
“Normally, the weather starts getting cool in late November,” he said, by way of explanation, “but this time it started in late December.”
Somchai also said that this aberrant weather pattern had resulted in the fog currently clogging Bangkok.
