Comedian denies link to drug ring

Yesterday, Theerachart Theerawittayakul, also known as Aood Pentor, shrugged off speculations that he was involved in a drug ring allegedly run by his sister-in-law.

The affair began when Kalasin police busted two drug dealers for possession of 15,727 methamphetamine pills in the Kuchinarai District. The dealers insisted that Wassana Theerawittayakul, the wife of Aood Pentor’s brother, had been partially behind the illegal operation. Wassana fled before she could be taken into custody and currently remains at large.

Aood Pentor, a 36-year-old comedian, said that he did not believe that Wassana had committed such a serious offense and that he had not participated in the drug ring.

“I will let police do their jobs,” said Aood Pentor. “I couldn’t do anything much on this and no one wants to get involved in this severe matter too.”

Police said that Wassana was one of two leading drug dealers in the area. According to Dailynews, police believe that she has fled to the Thai-Laotian border and will soon surrender to authorities.
