Nearly two dozen “coconut ghosts” were spotted roaming the beaches of Pattaya and looking for victims in the early hours of last Friday morning.
The “coconut ghosts,” as police have dubbed prostitutes who ply their trade on the beach, were rounded up and brought to Pattaya Police station to pay a THB100 fine, Pattaya One reported. Seven women and 15 transexuals were reprimanded for loitering with the intention of engaging in prostitution.
After being processed, the “coconut ghosts” reportedly went straight back to the beach to continue their previous activities.
