Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper will arrive in Bangkok tomorrow March 22 for a short visit to promote relations between Canada and Thailand.
The visit markes the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Canada and the 35thanniversary of Canada’s relationship with ASEAN.
Harper will be promoting Canada as an investment destination and will discuss combatting human smuggling and terrorism.
The Canadian PM will be officially welcomed on Friday at Government House and will meet with Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, MCOT reported.
Harper will remain in Thailand until March 24 when he will depart for South Korea and then Japan.
