The 33-year-old “pretty” who fell into a coma after cosmetic injections from an unlicensed clinician died yesterday.
The clinician Thanat “Dr Pop” Natveerakul will be charged with causing death through recklessness, the Nation reported.
Suwinai Bussarakamwong, a director at Kluaynamthai Hospital, said 33-year old Athitiya “Kratae” Eiamyai’s condition had worsened steadily over the past few weeks. She was admitted to the hospital on Sept. 18.
Athitiya had been hooked up to a ventilator to breathe but her blood pressure dropped rapidly yesterday morning and she didn’t respond to medication, the Bangkok Post reported. Doctors turned off the ventilator with her parent’s permission.
Thanat injected a substance into Athitiya’s buttocks at a Lat Phrao condo on Sept. 16, supposedly to make her more curvaceous. Athitiya lost consciousness a few minutes later, her heart stopped beating for a period, and her brain was deprived of oxygen for at least four minutes.
