BMA puts out flood warning for Bangkok

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration put out a flood warning for all 50 districts of Bangkok earlier today, according to the Bangkok Post.

Heavy rain is forecast for Bangkok and most of Thailand from tomorrow until Sept. 17.

Bangkok deputy governor Malinee Sukvejvorakij said that all districts of the Thai capital were ordered to set up water pumps in flood-prone areas.

Residents of 27 communities in 13 districts not protected by Chao Phraya river floodwalls should be ready to move their belongings to higher ground.

The BMA earlier drained waters from major canals, including Khlong San Seap which runs near Petchaburi, Sukhumvit, and Khlong Tan roads, the Post reported.
